Does length mean anything if you’re unhappy or unhealthy? If you’re in constant pain and anguish? If every day feels like a struggle to just survive?
I think living a very long (and healthy) life is an absolute gift but definitely not a guarantee.
After I’ve written this blog post I might be hit by a drunk driver and killed instantly.
Planning to live a long time is definitely dreams in a wasted space.
We can’t influence how long we live but we can definitely make it easier for our bodies to survive – good nutrition, no smoking, not drinking excessively, getting enough sleep, getting enough exercise, taking self-care and actively reducing stress. Wearing the right protection at work if you’re dealing with dangerous chemicals or substances.
