let me just say. I LOVE SWEETIES.

Growing up, one of my favourite memories was coming home from school – taking 50p out of the jar, crossing the road to the post office and asking for 50p worth of my favourite candy. I’d get the little paper bag, go back home, make a cup of tea and settle down infront of the TV and watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch or whatever else was on Nickelodeon.

I was alone thus I was happy.

I put in one of the sweets in my mouth, drank the hot tea and felt the sweet melt into my tongue. Bliss.

So what is my favourite candy (or sweety).

Lions Midget Gems / Lions Sports Mixture.

Now you can find Midget Gems or Sports Mixtures in normal shops BUT they are not from Lions Confectionary.

The special appeal of the Lion’s Midget Gems is the Black Midget Gem. It’s a delicious aniseedy liquouricey delight that, when combined together with the red midget gem, creates an almost orgasmic experience in the mouth. Add a hot tea to the mix and I’d say that my life could end right now as nothing will be more pleasuring.

Luckily these sweets are not available everywhere – they need to be ordered from speciality sweet shops and honestly – I look forward to Christmas and my birthday because I’m guaranteed to receive a wonderfully wrapped present containing a packet of these 🙂
